Live, from New Jersey, its Carol and Art

Posted by rabbiart on November 5, 2008

The first leg of our journey is under our belts.  In my case, so are a couple of English muffins, three glasses of orange juice, and two cups of decaf coffee, courtesy of the Continental Airlines Presidents Club.  (Actually courtesy of day passes we bought so we could hang out waiting for our friends Rick and Beth to arrive, and so we could have a comfortable place to sit, take showers if we want, and most of all, have Internet access!).  Yeay Internet. Yeay President-Elect Obama. (apologies to my Republican friends and relatives, but at least you don’t have to explode your brains trying to explain why Sarah Palin is qualified to be one heartbeat from the Presidency).

Just checked the online seating assignents for the flight to Tel Aviv.  I’m having hope that for some unknown reason we’re in the premium section of coach, since there is an open seat five rows back that is marked as premium.  No joy on having a three seat bank for just the two of us, as the flight looks completely full except for two middle-seat premium seats.  Maybe we’ll get lucky and the person with the window seat will disappear up into business class.

That’s right, Obama made it and we did too, Mazel Tov! The world is happy..

I wish you the best ride ever, make sure you stretch and warm up gradually everyday,

    Thinking of you both,

    Gilles
